The triple-reinforced frame difference
Unlike standard frames that rely on flimsy legs and cheap composite wood, our ottoman storage beds have a triple-reinforced frame. Built in our Birmingham workshop, they use high-quality built-in slats supported by full-length ultra heavy-duty steel bars. Slatted mattress base
The mattress sits on high-quality wooden slats built directly into the frame and reinforced in the centre with steel bars. This slatted design has real benefits over a solid boarded lift:
- Superior strength: the steel frame gives a much stronger, more rigid foundation.
- Better airflow: the spaced wooden slats let your mattress breathe naturally.
No flimsy support legs
Our ottoman beds sit directly on the floor with no support legs. The mechanism is supported by heavy-duty steel bars instead:
- Girder-like support: the thick steel bars act like industrial girders, firmly holding up the frame.
- Maximum stability: a rock-solid foundation that is built not to wobble or bend over time.

- Standard: 30cm side rail height with about 22cm of usable storage space.
- Deep: 40cm side rail height with about 32cm of usable storage space.
- Extra Deep: 50cm side rail height with about 36cm of usable storage space.

How does a gas-lift ottoman bed work?
Gas struts lift the whole mattress base, so you can open the bed smoothly with one hand and reach a large storage space underneath.
