Yes. Our beds and headboards are handmade to order in our Birmingham workshop by our own team of skilled craftsmen.

Yes. When you buy from Hush My Bed you buy direct from the people who make your bed, with no high-street middleman, so you get a handmade bed at direct-from-the-factory prices.

Yes. As well as our retail customers, we make beds, headboards and booth seating for hotels, interior designers, landlords and businesses. Please contact us to discuss trade and bulk orders.

An ottoman bed has a base that lifts up on gas struts, giving you storage space under the whole bed. It is one of the best ways to add storage to a bedroom without extra furniture. See our ottoman storage beds.

No. Heavy-duty gas struts do the lifting for you. Give the base a gentle pull upwards and the struts lift it smoothly and hold it open while you reach inside.

We make three storage depths: Standard (30cm side rail, about 22cm usable space), Deep (40cm side rail, about 32cm) and Extra Deep (50cm side rail, about 36cm). See our deep storage ottoman beds for the most space.

Our ottoman frames are triple-reinforced with full-length steel bars and sit flat on the floor with no legs, so they stay solid and quiet for years.

A wingback bed has a tall headboard with side wings that wrap around your pillows. The wings add about 10cm to the overall width. See our wingback ottoman beds.

We make all standard UK sizes: Single (3ft), Small Double (4ft), Double (4ft6), King Size (5ft) and Super King (6ft). Some products, such as our mattresses, are also available in Small Single (2ft6).

Yes. Most of our beds and floor standing headboards come with a choice of headboard heights, from 112cm up to 210cm depending on the design. The options are shown on each product page.

We offer Atlanta Soft Teddy, Smooth Velvet (Marble, Speckle and Plain), Linen-Textured, Chenille and Wool-Textured Tweed, in a wide range of colours. See our fabric collections.

Yes. Colours can look different on screen, so we send free fabric samples so you can see them in your own home before you order. You can choose up to six swatches.

A divan is an upholstered base that can include pull-out storage drawers. An ottoman bed lifts up on gas struts to give you storage under the whole bed. See our divan beds and ottoman beds.

Yes. If you already have a base, you can buy one of our headboards on its own. Choose from floor standing, large wall fixing and strutted headboards.

It depends mainly on how you sleep. Side sleepers often prefer the contouring feel of memory foam, while back and front sleepers usually like the firmer support of a pocket sprung mattress. See our mattresses.

A pocket sprung mattress has individual springs, each sewn into its own fabric pocket. Each spring moves on its own, giving you tailored support and less disturbance from your partner moving.

This is the number of pocket springs in a king size mattress. More springs means smaller, more closely packed springs that follow the shape of your body more closely.

No. Our mattresses are delivered flat and fully formed, so the springs and fillings keep their shape.

Yes. All our beds are made to standard UK mattress sizes, so any standard UK mattress of the same size will fit.

Yes. Delivery is free to mainland UK addresses. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the islands and other remote areas have a surcharge, so please contact us before ordering.

We aim to deliver within 10 working days (normally within 2 weeks) of your order. We will email you when your order is dispatched. See our Delivery & Returns page.

Yes. Our beds arrive partly assembled with clear instructions, so you only need to bolt the main parts together.

If you change your mind, please let us know within 48 hours of delivery if you can, and no later than 14 days by email. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Read our full Delivery & Returns policy.

Please report any delivery damage to the driver and to us within 24 hours. If your item is faulty, email sales@hushmybed.co.uk within 30 days of delivery and we will replace the part or product, or offer a refund. Your statutory rights are not affected.
