The Selva makes a bold, architectural statement. Its tall, square headboard is made up of wide, smooth padded panels separated by sets of three narrow fluted lines, so the light plays across the surface and draws the eye upwards. A 52cm footboard repeats the same pattern at the end of the bed, so it looks tailored from every angle. The bed sits low and solid on the floor with no visible legs. Lift the mattress platform from the foot end on its smooth gas struts and you will find a spacious storage area with a solid base – perfect for spare duvets, towels and out-of-season clothes. Shown here in a soft cream velvet and in grey in our video, every Selva is handmade to order in our Birmingham workshop.

Built to last

Triple-reinforced frame: heavy-duty steel bars run the full length of the bed for extra strength.
No legs: the bed sits directly on the floor, so there are no screw-in legs to wobble or snap.
Solid storage base: the storage area has a solid base, keeping stored items clean and off the floor.
Made for heavy mattresses: strong enough for heavier sleepers and deep, dense mattresses without sagging.
Quiet and solid: handmade in Birmingham using traditional joinery, heavy-duty bolts and tee nuts, so it does not squeak or rub.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Selva headboard look like?

The Selva has a tall, square-topped headboard made up of wide, smooth padded panels separated by sets of three narrow fluted lines. It is a bold, architectural look that adds height and texture to the room.

Does the Selva have a footboard?

Yes. The Selva has a 52cm footboard with the same wide panels and sets of narrow fluted lines as the headboard, so the whole bed looks tailored and matching.

What headboard heights can I choose?

The Selva headboard comes in 112cm, 130cm, 150cm, 164cm or 182cm. The footboard is 52cm high.

How does the storage open?

The mattress platform lifts up from the foot end on smooth gas struts, opening up the whole storage area underneath. The storage area has a solid base, so stored items stay clean and off the floor.

Is the Selva strong enough for heavier people and heavy mattresses?

Yes. The frame is triple-reinforced with heavy-duty steel bars running the full length of the bed, and it sits directly on the floor with no legs, so it stays solid and quiet.
