The Maricela is a clean, tailored ottoman bed with a modern panelled look. Its tall, straight-edged headboard has a smooth panel across the top and deep vertical channels running down behind your pillows, and the same channels wrap the 52cm footboard beneath a soft, padded top rail. Lift the mattress platform on its smooth gas struts and you will find a spacious storage area with a solid base, so bedding, towels and spare duvets stay clean and off the floor. Shown here in Teal and Ivory Atlanta Soft Teddy and grey velvet, every Maricela is handmade to order in our Birmingham workshop.

• Quiet and solid: handmade in Birmingham using traditional joinery, heavy-duty bolts and tee nuts, so it does not squeak or rub.
