Luisina Wingback Ottoman Storage Bed Frame

Last updated: 13 October 2026

The Luisina is a statement wingback bed for anyone who loves clean, vertical lines. Deep fluted channels run from top to bottom of the tall headboard, with straight, smooth wings standing forward at each side around your pillows. The same deep fluting wraps the thick 52cm footboard, so the bed looks perfectly matched from every angle. Choose a headboard up to 210cm high for real impact in rooms with taller ceilings. Lift the base on its smooth gas struts to reveal a spacious storage area with a solid base. Every Luisina is handmade to order in our Birmingham workshop.

Built to last

• Triple-reinforced frame: heavy-duty steel bars run the full length of the bed for extra strength.
• No legs: the bed sits directly on the floor, so there are no screw-in legs to wobble or snap.
• Solid storage base: the storage area has a solid base, keeping stored items clean and off the floor.
• Made for heavy mattresses: strong enough for heavier sleepers and deep, dense mattresses without sagging.
• Quiet and solid: handmade in Birmingham using traditional joinery, heavy-duty bolts and tee nuts, so it does not squeak or rub.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Luisina headboard look like?

The Luisina has a tall wingback headboard with deep vertical fluting running from top to bottom across the centre panel. Straight, smooth wings stand forward at each side to frame your pillows, giving a tailored, hotel-style look.

Does the Luisina have a footboard?

Yes. The Luisina has a thick 52cm footboard with the same deep vertical fluting as the headboard, so the whole bed looks matching and finished.

What headboard heights can I choose?

The Luisina headboard comes in 130cm, 150cm, 170cm, 190cm or 210cm, so it suits standard rooms and rooms with high ceilings.

How much wider is the bed because of the wings?

The wings add 10cm to the overall width. For example, a 4ft6 Double is 155cm wide including the wings and a 5ft King is 171cm wide.

Is the Luisina strong enough for heavier people and heavy mattresses?

Yes. The frame is triple-reinforced with heavy-duty steel bars running the full length of the bed, and it sits directly on the floor with no legs, so it stays solid and quiet.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery is normally within 2 weeks of your order. Delivery is free to mainland UK addresses.
