Oria Ottoman Storage Bed Frame

Last updated: 11 October 2026

The Oria is a calm, understated bed that lets its shape do the talking. Its headboard rises in wide, flat-faced vertical channels, each one softly padded and separated by a neat stitched seam, and finishes in a crisp, straight top edge with squared corners. There are no buttons, curves or wings, just clean architectural lines that suit light, airy rooms and natural colour schemes. In a textured linen-look fabric it brings a relaxed, quietly luxurious feel; in velvet it becomes richer and more dramatic. Choose a headboard up to 210cm high to fill a tall wall, or a lower height for a cosier room. The base is wrapped in the same fabric for a smooth, seamless finish, and the whole mattress platform lifts on gas pistons to reveal a large storage space underneath. Every Oria is handmade to order in our Birmingham workshop.

Built to last

• Triple-reinforced frame: heavy-duty steel bars run the full length of the bed for extra strength.
• No legs: the bed sits directly on the floor, so there are no screw-in legs to wobble or snap.
• Made for heavy mattresses: strong enough for heavier sleepers and deep, dense mattresses without sagging.
• Quiet and solid: handmade in Birmingham using traditional joinery, heavy-duty bolts and tee nuts, so it does not squeak or rub.

Frequently asked questions

What headboard heights can I choose?

The Oria headboard comes in 130cm, 150cm, 170cm, 190cm or 210cm. The taller heights make a real statement in rooms with high ceilings. The footboard is 30cm high.

What does the Oria headboard look like?

The Oria headboard is made of wide, flat vertical channels, each softly padded and separated by a stitched seam. It has a straight, square top edge with no buttons or wings, giving a clean, modern look. The same fabric wraps the whole base for a seamless finish.

How does the storage open?

Pull the easy-grip handle and the mattress platform lifts on gas-lift pistons. It rises smoothly and stays open while you reach the storage space underneath.

Is the Oria strong enough for heavier people and heavy mattresses?

Yes. The frame is triple-reinforced with heavy-duty steel bars running the full length of the bed, and it sits directly on the floor with no legs, so it stays solid and quiet.

Which mattress should I buy with it?

Any standard UK mattress in your bed size will fit. Popular choices are the Allure Memory Foam 1000 Pocket Sprung and the Reverie Memory Foam 2000 Pocket mattresses.
